Sessão maternidade em Lisboa com a Carina e o João

Ainda ontem estávamos a dizer um ao outro que o tempo passa rápido e as coisas acontecem demasiadamente depressa. Sobretudo quando se está grávida ou quando se tem um filho.
Neste último ano tanta coisa aconteceu: a Júlia nasceu, corremos esse mundo inteiro a registar o amor, fizemos clientes felizes, mudámos de casa e não tarda nada a Júlia já está a caminhar. É fabuloso poder assistir às pequenas conquistas dela todos os dias em coisas tão simples como o conseguir levantar-se, gatinhar até àquilo que quer sem pedir ajuda e sem estar dependente de nós. O conseguir pegar no garfo sozinha e levar a comida à boca sem ajuda.
Fazemos horas e horas de viagem por esse mundo fora para registar o amor, que tem tantas formas e feitios, mas agora que somos três cá em casa, tem um sabor ainda mais especial fotografar estas famílias maravilhosas que crescem.

A Carina e o João convidaram-nos para registar esta fase da vida deles e é com muito carinho que olhamos para estas imagens. É sem dúvida alguma uma fase incrível na vida. Antecipamos a vinda de uma miniatura que ainda não conhecemos e já amamos de coração cheio, sonhamos com as parecenças, imaginamos como será o futuro e sorrimos de maneira pateta e feliz quando pensamos nesse ser que está prestes a mudar a nossa vida. O que ninguém nos diz é que muda para muito melhor.

Maternity shoot in Lisbon with Carina and João

Just the other day we were saying that time goes by so fast and things happen way too quickly. Especially when you’re pregnant or when you have a child of your own.
So many things happened this last year: Júlia was born, we traveled all over the world to document love, we made so many clients so happy, we moved in to a new house and in the meantime, Júlia will be walking soon! It’s wonderful to watch her little wins in such simple things like standing up or crawling to whatever she wants without help or depending on us. The simple use of the fork and feed herself with no help at all.
We do travel a ton of time to capture love – that has so many shapes and colours – but now that we’re three in the house, it’s even better to photograph these wonderful growing families.

Carina and João asked us to capture this time in their lives and it’s with great fondness that we look at and share these images. It’s undoubtedly an incredible time in your life. We anticipate the birth of this tiny human who we don’t know yet, but already love with a full heart. We dream with the similarities, we think of what the future will look like and we grin when we think that this baby will change our lives. What nobody tells you is that life changes for the so much better.
