Personal Friday :: A note on helping family

Hoje é um dia dedicado à família, àquelas pessoas que nos apoiam, que nos dizem todos os dias para seguir em frente e que nos dão força para continuar.
Os pais da Marina são pessoas extraordinárias que também estão a lutar pelo seu lugar: pintam, à mão, cerâmica portuguesa com motivos tradicionais portugueses. Tem sido para eles (tal como para nós) um ano de crescimento, de definição do que se quer fazer, do que se valoriza. Investe-se dinheiro, tempo e acima de tudo muita esperança. Descobrem-se pessoas, lugares e oportunidades, conhecem-se novas fronteiras e limites, num processo de evolução extraordinário, com muitas dúvidas e incertezas pelo caminho. Na tentativa de mostrar o que somos, descobrimos que queremos ser mais e melhor todos os dias. Sentimo-nos muito felizes por poder ajudar a nossa família com aquilo que sabemos fazer de melhor: fotografias.

Today is a day dedicated to family, to those people who support us, who tell us everyday to move on and who give us strenght to move forward.
Marina’s parents are extraordinary people who are also fighting for their place: they hand paint portuguese pottery with traditional portuguese motifs. It’s been a year of growth (as for us), of definition of what one wants to do and of what is valued. There’s an investment of money, time and especially hope. We meet new people, new places and find opportunities but also boundaries and limits in a wonderful evolution process, with many doubts and uncertainties on the way. Trying to show what we are, we find that we want to be better everyday. We feel fortunate and happy to be able to help our family with what we know best: photography.
