Personal Friday :: USA, here we come

Andamos há tanto tempo para falar nisto que entretanto ficámos sem saber como dizê-lo. Mais vale dizer de rajada: vamos aos Estados Unidos fotografar um casamento. Pronto, está dito! Ir lá era um sonho que tínhamos há oito anos e o contacto da Susannah e do Jacob avivou de novo esse sonho que estava bem adormecido no nosso coração. Recebemos o convite, comprámos bilhetes de avião já em Janeiro mas ainda assim era uma ideia que parecia não encaixar bem. Dizia para mim própria “nós vamos mesmo, é mesmo para ir” mas só agora com o chegar da data é que está a assentar que vamos mesmo.
Além do casamento, vamos estar também em Nova York por alguns dias e vamos ter algum tempo livre. Por isso, se quiserem marcar uma sessão ou um café para conversarmos, não hesitem em enviar-nos um email!

We’ve been wanting to say this for so long that we didn’t even know how to say it. We better say it straight: we’re shooting a wedding in the USA. There. We said it. For the last eight years that we’ve wanted to go to the US and Susannah & Jacob’s contact made that dream wake up again in our hearts. We got their invitation, bought the plane tickets in January and even then, it didn’t seem real. I’d say to myself “We’re going there. It’s real!”, but only now that the day is almost here, it’s really sinking in that we’re really, really going.
After the wedding, we’ll be in NYC for a few days and we’ll have some free time. So if you want to book a portrait or a couple session, or just want to hang out, feel free to contact us!
