I offer two album sizes and they are both bound with organic linen and printed on fine-art paper to last a lifetime. I offer a 15% discount on album orders at time of booking.

Travel & accommodation
For weddings within Portugal, all travel and accommodation costs are already covered in your collection.
Please keep in mind, however, that for weddings outside of these regions, additional travel expenses will apply. Typically, for European destinations, these can range from €800 to €1500. For overseas weddings, expenses will be calculated accordingly.

OK, we've seen all your work and we're ready to book you. What's next?
Great! We can either meet over a video call or grab a cup of coffee if you’re local, and hash out the details. If it feels like the perfect match, all I’ll need is a signed agreement and a 50% deposit.
Where are you located?
I am based in Aveiro, Portugal, living by the river with my beautiful family. I’m just a short drive away from Lisbon (a couple of hours) and 45 minutes from Porto. Regardless of your location within Portugal, all collections cover travel and accommodation expenses. For international inquiries, please feel free to get in touch.
We're planning a destination wedding. Do you travel for work?
How much is the deposit? How can I pay?
You can make payments via Bank Transfer, MBWay, and all major credit cards through Paypal (adds 3% PP fee).
To secure your date, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance can be paid in two installments: 25% in the middle of the year and the final 25% two weeks before your wedding date.
If you prefer, we can also discuss a monthly payment plan.
What's your approach when photographing our wedding?
I aim to be a “guest with a camera” rather than a staff member. It’s not uncommon for guests to ask, “Have you been friends with Mel & John since college?” or “Did you meet them at work?” This is because I dress and behave like a close friend, dedicated to capturing their happiness and celebration. My goal is to blend seamlessly into the background and capture all the key moments from an insider’s perspective. For further insight, feel free to check out our Google reviews.
What is an elopement?
An elopement is when a couple gets married without informing anyone beforehand. It’s a way to celebrate and affirm their love for each other without the grandeur of a big, formal wedding. Personally, it’s my favorite kind of celebration: intimate and deeply personal.
We're having more than 150 guests at our wedding. Is that an issue?
While I do have a preference for small and intimate ceremonies, I have experience with larger weddings as well. For events with over 150 guests, I recommend considering the addition of a second photographer to your collection for an additional €450.
The 12 hours might be a little short for our plans. Can you stay for longer?
Absolutely! You have the option to add extra hours for €350/hour on the wedding day. If you already know you’ll need additional hours, you can include them in advance in your collection for a discounted rate of €250/hour.
I’d love to have my images in print. Do you sell albums?
Absolutely! I’m a strong advocate for printed memories, and I take pride in partnering with a local album supplier who crafts them by hand in Portugal, using eco-friendly materials. I offer two sizes (20x20cm and 30x30cm), both printed on high-quality fine art paper and bound with organic linen. For a complete album example, click here. We will have a rehearsal dinner and a day-after BBQ with all the guests. Can you come and photograph those events?
Absolutely! I’m thrilled to be a part of your extended celebrations. My daily rate for additional events is €970 (which includes 3 hours) plus an additional €250/hour thereafter. This way, we can capture all the special moments surrounding your big day.
Do you shoot portraits/engagements?
Yes! It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know each other and create a comfortable atmosphere. I understand that being in front of the camera can sometimes feel awkward, but I’m here to ensure it’s a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Engagement sessions start at €650, plus any applicable travel fees.
What are your portrait/engagement sessions like?
In order to make them more personal, I like to either start in an intentional location such as your home or a somewhere we pre-pick, even if it’s hours (or days!) away. The focus of these sessions is about connection, relationship, adventure and authenticity. I’m going to make pretty photos, but hopefully these are the kinds of photos that outlast just one moment in your life and will be just as meaningful throughout your marriage. #legacy
We don't speak Portuguese. Nor any of our guests. Is that a problem?
Not at all! English is my second language – as you could probably tell by this whole website ahah.
How many photos do you deliver?
It really depends on a few variables; a 100 guest wedding will yield more photos than an elopement, for example. Typically, I deliver 50-100 images from engagement sessions, 200-300 from elopements and 600+ from bigger weddings.
When will the photos be ready?
For engagement/portrait sessions, you can expect to receive your final gallery – private and password protected – within 6 weeks from our shoot date. Weddings take a bit longer, typically 6-8 weeks after the wedding date.
Do you deliver color copies of the black and white images?
All black and white images are delivered as black and white only.
Do you shoot video?
I believe that video should be handled by professionals who share the same passion for capturing your wedding as I do in photography. Therefore, I specialize exclusively in photography. However, if you’re interested in having your wedding captured on video, I can recommend a few videographers who align with my style of photography.
Do you have backup gear?
I’m a bit meticulous about backups, so I always carry two cameras, and there’s an extra one in the bag just in case. These cameras record to separate memory cards, ensuring immediate backup. Additionally, I bring extra lenses and memory cards. After each wedding, before I leave, your images are backed up in five different locations. I’m proud to say that I haven’t lost a single image in over a decade of shooting weddings.
How do we book you?
A signed agreement and a 50% deposit is all it takes to reserve your date and have me document your wedding day.
Dogs or cats?
Dogs! We rescued what we think is a Border Collie mixed with a Brittany back in 2016 and she’s the best dog ever.
