Pooley Wines wedding – Josh and Omar’s same sex wedding in Richmond, TAS
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a full wedding here on the blog, but now that the dust has settled a bit after all our travels and shoots, it’s time to start sharing a few of my favourite celebrations from last year – and what a year it was! And what a year 2019 will be as well! (more on that later).
Josh and Omar celebrated their wedding at Pooley Wines in Richmond, Tasmania* last November. It was the last of the weddings I shot in Australia and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the year. I Skyped with the guys a good six months before their wedding day and I was completely sold on the idea of a mexican-themed wedding (Omar’s originally from Mexico). “We’re having mini pizzas and a taco truck”, they said. That’s the perfect wedding food, I thought. “Oh, and piñatas and s’mores”. What?!
I’ll fly to other side of the world (literally) for pizza and tacos, so I’m definitely in.
It was my second time photographing a same sex wedding and I’m completely hooked. Josh and Omar were absolute legends and I couldn’t feel prouder to have been there to document their love for one another.

Josh got ready at Angela’s Airbnb, Omar at Maq01 hotel, the ceremony and reception at Pooley Wines, Richmond TAS, and the taco truck was Taco Taco.
*Richmond Bridge was built in 1823 and it is Australia’s oldest bridge still in use. How’s that for a fun fact?
