KT and Lewis’ Algarve wedding at Casa Rupi

A celebration of love and resilience

Fucking finally!” – these are the words that perfectly summarise what Katie and Lewis went through to plan and celebrate their destination wedding in Algarve.

It’s no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has made wedding planning a rollercoaster ride for many couples around the world and, unfortunately, KT and Lewis were no exception. They had to postpone their wedding not once, not twice, but three times due to the pandemic. However, their perseverance and love for each other prevailed, and they finally tied the knot at the beautiful Casa Rupi in Algarve in 2022.

Despite the difficulties and hiccups, their wedding was an incredible testament to their love and we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of it all.

Here’s what Katie and Lewis had to say:

“As soon as we saw Pedro & Marina on Instagram, we knew we couldn’t get married without having them as our photographers! We rearranged our wedding in Algarve due to Covid 3 times, and we would have rearranged a forth just to have them there. They are the most beautiful people, they made us feel completely at ease and captured our day in a way we could never have even imagined. They even gave us a super special little sentiment on our day to get an insight about what our photos would be like and that truly was the icing on the cake! Our wedding photos will always be our favourite photos, thanks to these utterly fabulous people and we genuinely have nothing but positive things to say about Pedro & Marina. They are the best!!!” – Katie & Lewis

ARE YOU CURRENTLY PLANNING YOUR WEDDING OR ELOPEMENT? I WOULD LOVE TO CREATE MEMORIES FOR YOU.

If you’re planning a maternity, engagement, elopement or wedding in Algarve, I’d love to be a part of it. Algarve is such a stunning place to capture your memories and the opportunity to document your love in such an incredible and special setting would be the icing on the cake. My bags are always packed and my cameras are always ready.

Here are 5 things to consider when planning your maternity, elopement or wedding in Algarve:

Venues

Algarve is known for its beautiful beaches, cliffs, and rugged coastlines. It's important to choose a venue that fits your vision and style. Some popular wedding venues in Algarve include beachfront resorts, historic villas, and wineries..

Weather

The weather in Algarve can be unpredictable, so it's important to plan for the season you're getting married in. Summer months (June to August) are hot and dry, but can also be crowded. Spring and fall are cooler, but still pleasant with less tourists. Winter can be rainy and windy, but still mild.

Accommodation

Algarve is a popular tourist destination, so it's important to book accommodation for your guests in advance. Consider renting a villa or an apartment near your wedding venue to make it convenient for your guests.

Planning

It's always a good idea to hire a local wedding planner who knows the area well and can help you navigate any challenges that may arise during the planning process. They can also recommend trusted vendors and help you stick to your budget.

Legal requirements

Getting married in Algarve requires some legal paperwork, so make sure to research the legal requirements and hire a wedding planner or coordinator who can help you with the process. You will need to provide documentation such as a valid passport, birth certificate, and a Certificate of No Impediment.
